"Real Simple" explanation of RSS Feeds
RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. When you sign up for an "RSS Feed" what you are doing is saying, "I want to be informed when there are updates to this page or section of this website, blog, etc." What the RSS feed does, is take the content that you are interested in and through a "reader" program displays the information you requested.
